I just heard the news on Saturday night,
I thought it was a joke,
It couldn’t be right
I started calling people and they all told me the same
So I thought to myself, “This can’t be a game.”
Your life is really over, only sixteen years gone by
Cut short by a reckless driver, leaving us asking why

We have shared the same P.E. class for the last two
years
And you have made it a lot of fun,
Always cracking jokes
And laughing with everyone

You always had this smile that never left your face
You were always having a good time,
Never letting a minute go to waste
You never turned down a challenge
Or gave up on a race
You were never one to complain,
Or feel sorry for yourself
Because you knew that having life was
The greatest wealth

Dedicated to the memory of Stephanie Echeverri
Although we didn’t know each other very well,
I feel it is my honor to write this to you.
I only wish there was more I could do.
Rest in peace.

You were always an angel,
Just lacking your wings
You were always one to look
On the bright side of things
You always wore a smile,
Never a frown
No matter how bad things got,
You never let them get you down

You are in a better place now,
Although it is far away
You are living a carefree life
Probably loving every day

Hopefully this tragedy will not go in vain
For within it lies a lesson
That could spare a lot of pain

You have taught your peers a lesson
Too bad it took this much
Losing someone we love, just to get in touch
In touch with our future, If we don’t choose
another path
In touch with our past, not wanting to look back
In touch with reality, a concept that is hard to
grasp

They call it an accident,
But I call it your time
Your memory will live within us,
Where you will always be alive

The class of 2006 will be incomplete without you
But we will keep you in our hears
As we walk across that stage
You will always be a part of us
As our lives turn to a new page
